Easter has come and gone…

It appears that it’s been a while since I’ve blogged!  Our life has been on the busy side the last several days and, as most of you that read this “grandma” blog, know that George has had another stoke.  This one came without any sign of his having had one.  He had been having trouble with his sugar readings, balance issues, and just not feeling up-to-snuff the last couple of weeks.  Since there was a change with one of his medicines we thought it might be his electrolytes were out of wack and that’s why we went to the ER…on the urging of his physician and Tanya…to be checked out.  The CT scans didn’t really show the stroke, but the MRI did and it’s in the cerebellum which, of course, controls your balance.  Nothing can be done and he is high risk for another stroke so please pray that won’t happen.  As of today, Tuesday, he’s feeling better and we’ll be seeing his neurologist later this morning.

We had a very enjoyable Easter and got to spend the better part of the day with all the Crockett’s, most of the Gabehart’s, along with Chance and Emily.  Tomorrow, Wednesday, Lacey, Brittany, and Sean are coming over for dinner and we’re looking forward to seeing them…been a while since we’ve seen Sean, for sure.

Guess that’s about all I have to say as of now.  Please continue to pray for George to not have an additional stroke, that I’ll be patient, and that we both continue trusting in our Lord to see us through whatever He has for us.  It is so good to know that we serve a risen Savior and that whatever happens we can rest assured that God is in control.  Love to you all.

Blessings…..
