We are finally blessed with a LITTLE rain but not near enough. In fact, it was a very light, misty type rain so not sure it will do much towards giving the plants a good drink. Maybe we’ll get a good soaking rain before long. It’s a cloudy, cool, fall morning so guess I’ll still be able to get my walk in.
Not much going on here today…not even a birthday! George is doing some repair work in our bathroom and I plan to wash all the windows on the inside but, who knows, I may just get over that idea before I get started. Tomorrow is another opportunity should I decide to wait.
George will be going on the OCC ‘s men’s retreat at Rough River…not too far from Louisville…so we’ll be leaving here EARLY Friday morning and will return Saturday afternoon. I’m going to go as far as Louisville and visit the Gabehart’s and, hopefully, give Melissa and Byron a “date night”. Should be fun for both of us!
We heard last night that Lacey will have her shoulder surgery this Friday and it will be six months before she’ll be able to lift, etc. and a full year before she will be considered healed. Sounds like a long time to me and we pray she will do well. On the 13th of this month, Jerod and Blake will be having their tonsils removed so that’s not a fun thing either…what a way to spend your fall break! Again, we’re praying for a speedy recovery for them.
Have a good day and guess I’ve stalled long enough on getting my walk in.
Blessings……..
