Week #2 of a Florida Winter….

I am absolutely certain that those reading this are not sympathetic at all with our bout of another week of a Florida winter.  We got up to the mid 60’s yesterday with the wind blowing hard…that’s so it’d remain too cold to go to the beach.  Now today…the wind is even stronger and only getting into the 60’s, again.  How’s a girl to get some tan when it’s too chilly to sit out?  Oh well, maybe next week it will be better.  We do continue to walk each day…between 2-3 miles…so we do get some sun but not much since we’re wearing sweat shirts or jackets.  We are thankful to be here even though it’s not as warm as we had hoped…especially when we hear how cold, snowy, and miserable it is at home.

Not much happening around here except for watching football and when they’re not playing it’s basketball.  It seems as though every team I’d like to win manages to loose.  At this point, I really don’t care who’s even playing much less who wins.

We had a couple of couples over for dinner the other night and that was fun entertaining in a small house. They all seemed to like the Black bean and Shrimp Chili along with the Lemon Velvet cake so I’d call the evening a success.

That’s about it for now.  Continue to pray for Jerre and for Linda and Jim as they travel to Mexico this week.  Also, Jim is having a birthday on Wednesday and old looks good on him.  Happy, happy, happy to him.  Enjoy your week, stay warm, and stay safe.  Love to you all.

Blessings….
