How did May get here so fast? I am more than thrilled it’s here and, hopefully, all the cold, nasty weather of March and April are over. Today it’s absolutely beautiful here, the spring flowers are planted at out house and the guest house, and our two tomato plants are in the ground. Spring in central Kentucky is a beautiful season and sure makes a good impression on all the guest coming for all the Derby activities.
Not much of interest happening with us, as usual. Blake got hurt at one of his ballgame a week ago, so he’s currently not playing. He was sliding into second and his right hand got spiked which resulted in 7 stitches and no baseball for two weeks. Grayson is still playing so we’re still on the baseball circuit. I’ve been having some trouble with an angry muscle in my right knee to hip area. I’m going to PT twice a week and it was helping until I got my feet tangled up in the yard and fell pulling that angry muscle even more. It will get better but it sure is taking it’s good ole time. Jerod is back from Chile and he had a great semester there, Meredith is also home and has completed her first year of college, Kyle is finishing up his junior year of college, and the high school…and elementary school boys…will soon be finished and ready for summer boredom.
I’m thankful that Jerre is doing as well as he is but sorry exhaustion has definitely set in. Chemo is certainly no fun. Rita passed her Realtor exams and is just waiting on her license to be issued and she’ll be ready to get to work…I wish her much success and know she’ll do a fantastic job. As far as I know, all others in our tribe are doing well and each one stays very busy…as do we.
Have a great derby weekend and should you bet the horses…hopefully it will be a winner. Love to you all.
Blessings…
