July is definitely living up to its reputation of being HOT. We are consistently having upper 80’s to the lower 90’s daily…along with high humidity. Florida folks have nothing on us KY folks when it comes to summer heat and humidity…and they have the beach.
Speaking of a beach…Scott, Allison, Neyland, and Turner were enjoying the beaches in Destin all of last week. This coming week Melissa, Byron, Tyler, Madi, and Kyle…at least I think Kyle was able to go…are enjoying the beaches of North Myrtle Beach….they arrived there today. With a hurricane out in the ocean…not close to them…they should have some decent waves to play in. We are being blessed with Pal and I think he would have rather have gone with his family to the beach. He’s no problem but he sure misses family. He’s really getting old, can’t hear, and just sleeps most of the time…again, no problem.
George and I are staying busy with the guest house and have quite a bunch more coming in. The busy season is almost over so we’ll be bored before long…George will be in his workshop and I’ll be crocheting. We have a family there this next week whose son is playing in the Barbasol Golf tournament…maybe he’ll be famous some day and we can say we knew him when.
I have had some sort of cough this week and wonder where that came from? I have not slowed down, but it is annoying to cough a lot…glad it’s about gone. George continues to do well and has enjoyed helping a friend make some bookshelves for his home. They only work a couple of hours at a time due to the heat and Steve’s busy schedule.
There’s really no news but just wanted to touch base. Wonder if anyone still comes here and reads what I do write? So thankful for Jerre’s good news from his scans/test/whatever they call it. I, too, had the fun of a colonoscopy recently, and I am at an extremely low risk of ever having colon cancer…and NEVER will have to do that again. That’s a big HURRAY!!!
