My, but the days are flying by and here it is August already. July had several birthdays for the different family members but other than that, it was a rather ho-hum HOT month. August isi proving it can compete with the July heat so we’re still sweating with gusto but always thankful it’s not snow.
Linda celebrated her birthday yesterday in a very special way…with all the family together in Atlanta. I know they are having a great time and what a better way to celebrate getting OLD but with family. It’s, also, Sadie’s birthday so the celebration was especially big and fun.
The “blue house” continues to be busy but it will begin to slow down after this month. We are very thankful for all our guest and the extra income is always a blessing.
Jerod is finished with his internship he did with Vanderbilt this summer, and we were able to attend his presentation on August 2nd. There were 132 (+/-) in the program and six were selected to do a presentation and he was one of the six. He did a great job informing us on the lung cancer research that he participated in. He’ll be a great physician someday! Congrats again for a job well done.
All the kids will be back in school within this month. Kyle is a senior at WKU, Jerod is a junior at Lipscomb, Meredith is a sophomore at Lipscomb, Tyler is waiting on the National Guard to tell him when he’ll start basic training before he goes to University of Alabama next fall, Madi will be a junior in high school, Blake is a senior in high school, Grayson is a junior in high school, and the twins are already in the third grade. May they all have a great year learning and preparing for life.
Tanya is now Dr. Crockett as she finished up her doctoral program from Vanderbilt last month. We are very proud of her and all the hard work, sweat, and tears it took to do complete it.
George and I are doing well and thankful for that every day. We got to see Carter and Lori for just a few minutes Thursday night and we are all looking forward to our week on the beach in September. Have a great week and know I love you all. Jerre, you keep getting better and we’ll continue to ask for complete healing.
Blessings…
