Last week we got a preview of what fall will feel like and had an absolutely beautiful week, weather-wise. This week, summer showed back up and the heat and humidity have been brutal. I’m still glad it’s warm but we really could do with a lot less humidity. Just saying…
This week we got our deck “re-boarded” and it really looks nice. It will have to cure until spring before we can put a stain on it but that’s OK. We had some boards that were rotting out and the last paint we put on it was really looking ugly …one of those paints that was suppose to last for years but failed miserably. The deck was a mess and now it’s nice.
We’ve also gotten the living room and the guest bedroom painted a soft gray and I love the new look. It has sure brighten up the rooms and I’m glad to have the darker walls gone. Not sure what the next project will be, but I feel sure we’ll think of something before long.
All the kids are back in school, or college, and so far so good. Tyler is still in limbo waiting on the National Guard to give him a date for his physical. He’s being patient while hoping he’s not just wasting this year he could be at the University of Alabama taking classes.. He’s working but he’d rather be in basic training…or college.
Tyler is visiting us currently and he’s such a joy to have around. He, George, Daniel, Grayson, and Blake when to the movies tonight to see some guy-type movie and I sure hope it was good. He’ll go back home tomorrow evening as he has to be at work on Friday.
Our life is still busy, but boring, and that’s fine with us since we are both still healthy…a very good thing. Not much else to share so I’ll say good night for now. Love to you all and still praying for Jerre…actually for all of you…and love you, too. Have a great rest-of-the-week.
