Another month….

What a crazy November we’ve had.  We’re setting record lows, more rain/snow than ever, and only a slight chance for any improvement.  Even the improvement will be very short lived.  This will sure help us enjoy those Florida beaches even more.  All of you that were complaining about the heat of the summer, I hope you’re enjoying all this!

Jerre was able to enjoy another birthday this month even though he wasn’t feeling very good.  Currently he’s in the hospital with extremely low blood pressure and pneumonia. He has been feeling a little better now that the blood pressure is back in the normal range.  He hopes to be back home by this weekend (December 1).

Life around here continues to be about the same week after week.  I am very thankful we are both staying healthy and still able to do most anything we want to do.

We do have some very sad news.  My very “bestest” friend for over 50 years passed away this last Monday night.  Frances and I shared co-teaching a young ladies class for 13 years and I have so many wonderful memories I’ll relive each time I think of her.  She suffered from Alzheimer’s disease for the last 12-13 years and that is such a dreadful disease.  She was a jewel of a person and will be so missed by all of us that loved her.

Thanksgiving was a fun time but so much smaller than the ones of many years ago.  On Thanksgiving day we had the Crockett’s here, along with Colton (Meredith’s boyfriend), and enjoyed the BIG turkey dinner.  Friday we went to Louisville to do it all over again at Lacey’s home.  Clark, Vanessa, Branden, Sean, Teresa, and Dwayne were there so that was good getting to spend time with them…along with another good meal.  On Saturday…Clark and Vanessa came to Wilmore and we combined left overs, plus new items, and enjoyed another great meal together.  I’ve had enough turkey to last me until next Thanksgiving but the family time was priceless.

Just one more month and we’ll be on the road headed to Venice/Englewood, Florida for all of January and February.  We’re looking forward to seeing the friends we’ve made there and getting caught up on what we’ve all been doing since our last time together.  It’s cool there today but will be back in the 80’s by the week-end compared to our 20-s.- 50’s range for us.

Guess that’s about it for now.  Please continue to pray for all the Richardson family as they say their final goodbye’s and for Jerre to feel better.  There are many sick, or hurting, people so we never lack someone to pray for, or with.  Love to you all.

Blessings…..
