This will definitely be a December for the record books. We’ve had quite a few birthdays celebrated…Clark, Lawrence, Branden, Carter, Jackson, Sonny, and Blake all during the first 15 days of the month. We are very proud, and love, each one of them. We, also, had one of the most devastating events of our lives happen. On December 10th we received word that Ryan had made the decision to end his time here on this earth. We were all so shocked, disappointed, saddened, and any other emotion you might want to include. I loved that guy with every fiber of my being and I will continue to love him until I take my last breath. His parents were in a state of shock when we got to Louisville and ran the full gambit of emotions while trying to decide what to do. Telling his siblings was one of the most difficult and heart wrenching things. That entire week was a week of running on auto pilot for us all. Byron and Melissa have a great support from all their friends, co-workers, neighbors, church people, and most of all family. Saying the final good-bye on December 15th was long, and hard, with many tears but lots of hugs and love flowing. Rest in peace, sweet Ry-Ry. You will never be forgotten and my grief will last forever.
We are headed to Millington tomorrow to see Scott, Allison, Turner, and Neyland for a few “hours”. Neyland will be playing football in a fund raising event for his team mate that was killed in the bus accident back in November….and we want to see him play in this special game.. Also, we just need to give them some hugs, love, and Christmas money. We’ll come back home Saturday evening as the rest of the days are filled up with more fun stuff before we head to Florida on the 27th. We were hoping we might stop by Linda’s, as we “fly low” through Nashville, but I’ve caught a cold and I’m not getting close to her for fear of infecting her.
I do pray that…should anyone still be reading my blog..you have a very Merry Christmas and that 2019 will be a much better year. I love you all and have the greatest family, and extended family, on the planet. I am more than ready for some beach time. MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR.
Blessings……
