A Rainy Morning…

We were awaken early this morning with lots of hard rain, lightning, and a little thunder, but that is all gone for now.  Yesterday we went to the beach, since it was in the mid to upper 70’s, along with “thousands” of other folks and enjoyed a couple of hours of people watching, reading, and sunning.

We were happy to get to see Scott on Tuesday and enjoyed being treated to a good lunch.  Thanks, Scott.  We met in Plant City, which is about 1 1/2 hours for us and about 3/4 of an hours for Scott…he’s in Orlando on business…and it was another spectacular day.  We have had really great weather this year and for that we are most thankful.

On this coming Saturday, we’re meeting Teresa and her family for a late lunch and we’re looking forward to that.  They are a very sweet family and a joy to visit with.

There’s really not much else happening, otherwise, but we’re thankful to be where it’s warmer since it’s so bitter cold at home most days. We do miss home, but not enough to want to be there in the winter.

Meredith left last evening (Wednesday) for Vienna and she is super excited about this adventure.  She’ll study some, see lots of interesting sites, and experience all the different cultures.  Please pray she’ll stay well and safe while there.

Kyle will be graduating from Western Kentucky in May and he’s very pleased to be in his last semester of college.  He’s done really well, learned a lot, and found a very sweet girlfriend.  Now to find a job and secure where he’ll be living…a big concern of his currently.  He’ll do fine and will be an asset to whomever hires him.

Linda will have her third chemo treatment tomorrow (Friday) and that’s never fun.  She seems to be doing well…once she get’s past the first week after chemo…and does most everything she wants to do, but with limited energy.  She does have to be extremely careful about touching things/people as she sure doesn’t want to pick up any virus, etc. so a lot of hand washing goes on each day.  Please be praying for her to continue to feel OK and for the cancer to be eradicated from her body.  She’s half way done with chemo after tomorrow and that’s a big YEAH!

Have a great week-end and you all stay warm and healthy.  It’ll only be in the upper 60’s this week so we won’t be doing a lot of beach time.  That’s OK since it’s not really cold and zero chance of SNOW.  Love to you all.

Blessings….
