We received word yesterday that Gilbert Dadisman died that morning and will be buried on Friday afternoon…he was 97 and more than ready to meet the Lord. Since we have known him for over 40 years and have been good friends with his son, Bob, we want to go and express our condolences. He and Exie were married just a few weeks shy of 76 years…now that’s committment!Â
We’ll leave here tomorrow afternoon (Thursday) so we can have some time with the Gabehart’s that evening. We’ll be back home by Friday night…we have some friends coming in on Saturday and will be staying over until Sunday so I have to at least look ready for them when they get here.
This has also been a sad week for our niece-in-law, Danna, who buried her father on Tuesday. He fought a long and hard fight but cancer finally won his body but his soul is with the Lord so he’s the ultimate victor.Â
Jerod will finally be well enough to go back to school tomorrow and it’s been a long 10 days…Blake was able to go back today. We’re all glad that ordeal is about over with.
George has finally been successful in trapping a feral cat. His first try he caught a possum, the second something ate the bait but didn’t get trapped…probably the raccoon we see the footprints of…, and his third try was successful. To say that cat is angry is putting it mildly. He’s not about to let you touch him/her and has made sounds I didn’t know a cat could make. Hopefully, some animal organization will come and pick it up tomorrow…wouldn’t you know they’d be closed today…and get the thing “fixed” before it’s released back out into nature. I don’t mind the cats being out there but they are constantly making babies that will in turn be “wild”. Wilmore has a real problem with feral cats…that was before George moved to town!
I’m looking forward to going to my ladies class in the morning. We didn’t have class last week because it was fall break for the schools…too many kids and not enough baby sitters…and I missed it. This is a really good study…lots of outside work to do each week but I manage to stay on track.
Well it’s almost time for bed so guess I’ll get headed that way. Have a great rest-of-the-week and enjoy this wonderful time of the year.
Blessings………
