Life is busy…

Here it is almost the middle of August and I’m struggling to find anything to share.  We are looking forward to going to Santa Rosa, FL with Carter and Lori in just a couple of weeks…that’s always fun.  Lori’s parents, along with her brother, will be there and they are fun to be around so that’s always good.  Hoping Chase, Tara, and Sonny will be around since they don’t live very far from that area, while Chance, Emily, and Jackson will be there for most of the week so it’ll be a good time for us all.  The week always flies by but we’ll pack in as much conversations, etc as we’re able.

Summer continues to have a strong grip on central Kentucky, as with most of the USA, and we so desperately need rain in our area.  There is hope of some today, but we’ll see.  Some areas are getting way more than they need and it goes all around us here in Wilmore.  Only going to be 96, with high humidity, today so we’ll definitely stay warm.

The kids will all be back in school tomorrow…most are already back…and I pray that each one will have an awesome year.  The twins are in the 4th grade already and both are playing football this fall.  The only other kid not in college is Grayson and he’ll be a senior and he’s a cross country runner.  Madi finished up all her high school requirements this summer so she’s planning on going to college somewhere either this fall, or next spring.  She may go to cosmetology school, and we all know we need good hair stylist and she’d be perfect for that.  Tyler got his pilot license this summer and will start Eastern Kentucky University next week and I have no doubt that he’ll do well…he hopes to become a commercial pilot eventually.  Jerod, Meredith, and Blake are all at Lipscomb and looking forward to it being a great year…the last year for Jerod and Meredith while Blake is just starting.  All the other grands are adulting well and living life to the fullest, as far as I know.

George and I continue to do well and seem to stay busy most days.  The “blue house” continues to stay busy for now and we are thankful.  We had a great time in New York with friends and visiting Niagara Falls…we went to a Reds/Cubs game last week with the Crockett’s and that was fun. There had been a bad wreck on I-75 so we didn’t get home until 2:15 the next morning.  We were all tired the next day, but we made good memories and were so thankful we were not part of whatever that problem was.

Guess that’s about it for now.  Have a great week, stay cool, and know you are loved.

Blessings…..
