We left home two weeks ago yesterday and that seems almost impossible. During these two weeks, we have had a few days of “cooler” weather…lows in the upper 30’s with highs only in the 50’s….but most days are like today in the mid-80’s. Absolutely near perfect. So far, We’ve had lots of sunshine, a lot of wind, and just a little much needed rain. The sunsets are still enjoyable and the days are definitely getting longer. All in all, our time so far has been great.
We do a lot of reading, relaxing, and sitting each day along with our daily walks of 2+ miles, sunning, and people watching. We met up with our Kansas friends at church this morning and enjoyed catching up with them some more. Jean’s sister died rather unexpectantly last week and they just got back from Iowa a couple of days ago. They are good friends and we love being with them. We’ve did the Geezer breakfast yesterday morning…lots of OLD Geezer’s there…, then went to a farmer’s market before we got back to our place. In between ballgames, we made our way to a Mexican restaurant and another sunset experience….even took a selfie that I posted on FB.
George got a call from Chipper this past week to let us know they are now grandparents to a beautiful boy. Jordan and Megan are the parents and all are so proud of this precious boy…Porter Jordan Ezell. Welcome to the world and may you have a good life.
Not much to write about so guess I’ll get back to my book. Stay warm…while we stay cool…and know that you are loved. Enjoy this new week and a big Happy Birthday to Jim is coming up in just 5 days. Love to all.
Blessings…..
