Our trip to the Aquarium

We got the kids this morning around 8 am, went to breakfast at McDonald’s then headed to the Newport Aquarium…it’s just before you get to Cincinnati and still in KY.  We were among hundreds that also decided this was a good day to go…several schools were there on their spring field trip…so there we kids everywhere along with all the sponsors.  In spite of the crowd, we had a great time and marvel at how God created so many neat things.  The kids seemed to enjoy seeing so many different types of sea creatures, plants, and they even got to touch several different things..I passed on doing this!  The sharks were the hit of the day!

We had a good lunch at Moe’s…a Mexican restaurant chain…then headed back towards Louisville.  We needed one more treat before we got home, so we stopped at a local ice cream/custard place…I had coffee while they all had various types of treats.  Melissa is having a big dinner tonight so I suggested she may want to do it late.  Between the mexican food and the treat, I doubt they will be very hungry regardless of the time they eat.

Clark is doing OK with the sinus surgery but not as perky today as he was yesterday.  Maybe tomorrow he’ll start feeling even better.  He’s planning on going back to work on Monday to work his last two weeks before he’ll head to Iowa.  He’s rented an apartment until his family can get up there…got to finish out this school year for Lacey and sell the house.  He’s feeling good about his decision and we’re happy for him.

Sunshine today but still cool…only in the 50’s at best…but rain and possible snow showers by Sunday.  Oh Spring where-for-art-thou?  We really are having a strang spring but it could be a lot worse…like the northeastern part of our country.

Jim Jr may be here when we get up in the morning.  He called yesterday and said he’ll be flying in around 2 a.m. and may want to sleep a few hours before heading back to Nashville.  He’s never a bother and we’re always happy to see him…even for the few minutes we have the pleasure…and most times we never hear him come in.  He’s very quiet, we turn off the alarm, and he sneaks in.  He surely must have practiced a lot as a teenager to get that so down pat!

Blessings…

I don’t suppose driving to Iowa will swing you anywhere close to Columbia? Hint Hint…
We are working on a time to get back there but frankly ,the thought of 8 hours with three kids is about enough to push me over the edge.
    Miss you,
    Jenny
