YIKES…Four months having flown by

I have no clue what to write about, if anyone even reads my blog any longer, and why I seldom get on here. I do feel the main reason I seldom write is because I post on Facebook so often the things I want to share. Or…maybe I’m just so boring I have very little to share.

The last couple of days have turned rather cool here in Wilmore and that makes me want to start getting ready for our three months in Florida…starts on December 1. This season our Florida time will be quite different, I’m sure. Two hurricanes back to back have done a lot of damage to the area. The beaches are all closed as the water is polluted, the sand is now everywhere but on the beaches, roads are destroyed or closed, and many of the beach houses were completely destroyed. Thankfully, the area where we rent was spared any severe damage.. There is damage to our unit on the outside only…the lanai blew away. The owners are trying to get that fixed ASAP but with so much damage all over Florida it will be.hard getting the permits, workers, etc. We will miss having the lanai, especially George, as he spent a lot of time there.

We continue to do fairly well for old folks. I am still having some back issues but it’s not getting any worse so I’ll continue on…I have a cyst on my right foot that will be removed on November 8th and I’ll be happy to have that gone. George is doing well over all, too. He will have a treatment in November to destroy the cancer from his prostrate and we’re praying that will go well. It’s all out patient and, per his doctor, expected to be very successful.

Our porch time has really slowed down with this cold weather but we made quite a few new friends during these past few months inviting people to join us and visit. I believe we are known for our porch and the welcome it provides our small community, and we think that’s a good thing. Once the cushions get put away next month, the porch is considered closed until spring. Of course, the inside is available for visits but few take advantage of that.

Guess that enough for now and I pray for all to stay well, safe, and happy. Have a great fall, enjoy the kids on Halloween, and stay warm. Love to you all.

Blessings….
