It seems almost impossible that 2024 is over and 2025 is our new year. I would say. over all, 2024 was a good year and we survived it really well. George did very well with a surgery that would eliminate the cancer in his prostate back in November but we won’t know for sure until we get back home in March. I had a very minor foot surgery a week before George’s but other than that, all is well with us.
Gabby and Kyle welcomed tiny Archie …1 lb 7 oz and 13 inches long…to their family back in December and he was only four months early but is doing well so far. We are waiting on Madi and Austin to birth Beau, most any day now, and that will have blessed us with ten great grandsons.
Carter and Lori sold their water front home and bought a different one in Florence that has a pool. I know that will be a good addition for Lori and Carter can still fish…just not out his back door.
Clark continues to suffer with his leg he broke back in November…at work no less…but we are hoping that they can do something to relieve him of all the pain that continues on his next doctor’s visit. It seems as though some surgery might be in his future. Vanessa’s store is doing great and has expanded to a larger facility and she’s keeping all the ladies happy with all the cute home decor items.
Scott and Allison have added a pool to their home along with a hugh amount of renovation to the home. The boys are now in high school and loving all that goes with being teenagers.
Melissa and Byron are always busy with all their projects and rental properties but they seem to be thriving well. Archie has taken priority for now and helping with Miles is so fun.
Tanya and Daniel are busy and loving being grandparents to Ellison. Tanya is in a new walk-in clinic for pediatrics and loves what she’s doing. Last May was very busy for them with three of the four kids graduating from three different colleges in three different states within one week. Blake will get his masters this coming May and that should be all the graduates for a while.
Linda Lou continues to recover from some very serious side effects to her medications this past month. She’ll have a very long, and difficult, recovery but we’re praying it will be successful.
We had a couple of weddings in 2024…Tyler & Olivia along with Madi & Austin…and again we are blessed with some very good grandkids-in-law. My how our family has increased from seven to over forty and more will come, no doubt.
We are loving our time here in Florida again this year. We get to avoid three of the winter months and that’s perfect with me…one is already over. This area suffered a great deal of damage when the back to back hurricanes hit this past fall, but it’s coming back slowly. Thankfully, our unit we rent only had damage on the outside so here we are….and LOVING IT.
That’s it for now. Happy New Year and may 2025 bring us all a year of good health, happy adventures, while making great memories. I love you all. May the Lord bless you, and keep you, close to Him each and every day.
Blessings…..
