We get up this morning to 63 degree temperature…of course it’s raining…and it was only in the low 40’s yesterday. We’re expecting snow again on Sunday but not sure if it will be enough to accumulate. Don’t you just love Kentucky weather!
Jerry Page, George’s Alabama cousin, is coming to spend a few days with us on Sunday and we’re looking forward to having him. He’s going to help George do some electrical work in the carriage house and I have a couple of things I will mention that needs help here in the house…maybe that will get done but I can live with it if not since I have for over a year now.Â
We’re also going into Louisville tomorrow night (Saturday) for our old…that “old” has several meanings…Care Group Christmas party. It’s always fun and the exchanging of White Elephant gifts is usually the highlight of the evening. Of course, the meal will be worth the trip! The best gift I ever gave at one of these parties was a jar of pickled pig lips…that’s right LIPS…that I got while doing some relief work in New Orleans. The people in New Orleans…at least some of them…really eat them and they look really gross in the jar. You can even buy them by the gallon but I just gave a quart. Wonder whatever happen to them? I’m almost positive Mary, the receiver of my generous gift, didn’t eat them.
Enjoy your day…I’ll be back soon.
Blessings……….
