Good-bye 2008…Hello 2009!

How quickly this year of 2008 has flown by.  A lot has happened in our world this year and it hasn’t all been for the good but we are still a very blessed people.  Many have lost jobs, homes, and even families.  Our future is compromised by the stock market plunge and our property values have decreased.  Although these are concerns, I definitely don’t let these dominate my life or my thinking.  I am trusting more today that God remains in control, that my only hope to complete happiness is in Jesus Christ, and I have peace knowing  and believing this.  Thanks to my wonderful husband, George, and my entire family I am a truly blessed woman.

We had a good visit with Clark and Vanessa today.  They came in last night after getting Sean back to Louisville, visited with Branden for a few hours, and  then having dinner with friends before they headed on into Wilmore.  They brought one of their dogs, Muffin, with them and she is the Queen of their home.  She’s so prissy, is cute as a button, and spoiled rotten.  She has more clothes than I do!  Hopefully, George will post some photos on his blog.  She and Sugar, the Crockett’s dog, became friends once they decided who really was the queen vs. the princess…Muffin won out!  They have a long drive  back to Burlington this afternoon, but should be home about midnight.  Thanks for coming!

We’re counting the days until we head to Florida…22 days to be exact!  We’re going to Nashville to see family there, a quick stop in Alabama to see more family there, before we get to Destin for the last week of January (25th).  We’ll head on down to Cape Haze on February 1st. and will be there until March 1st….hope winter will be all gone by the time we get back to Wilmore.  Last year we got home in time to experience the winter’s biggest snow storm, but we’re hoping that won’t be the case this year.

Let’s all pray that 2009 will be a good year, peace will finally be had by all, and love will abound among all people.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Blessings………
