Today is the running of the 133rd Kentucky Derby and our city has an abundance of people, excitement, traffic, all the while the economy is booming…in fact it was stated on the news that this will bring around 23 million dollars to Louisville economy. Now that’s a lot of money!!! We even have the Queen of England here. Of course, most will never see her or any of the other “rich and famous” but they are definitely here. The weather has been rather gloomy…rain again, but today will be better hopefully. We will be going to our usual Derby Party…better known as the eat-till-you-pop party…but we enjoy being with everyone and have lots of fun. Nothing exciting ever happens other than tall tales and fellowship.
Jim Jr was here last night and won’t be back until early Tuesday morning. He’s a pleasure to have around!
Clark called yesterday and said they are still house hunting. They have found one they like but they are still looking…hoping to decide today before Vanessa leaves for home tomorrow. They’d like to go ahead a get a contract on a home and we’re all praying their home here will sell quick. His new company will buy the Louisville home after thirty days on the market, but they hope to sell it before then. They feel they will get a little more if the do. I would think it’s a comfort just knowing you only had to deal with this for thirty days! Lacey liked the school she visited so that was good.  She’s being a real trooper with all of this.
Enjoy the races on TV.
Blessings…
