Monday morning at Cape Haze Resort

We are settled into our condo, except for getting some groceries in, and we’re looking forward to all this month will have for us.

We got here on Saturday night after a long day of driving nearly non-stop from Destin…a total of 10 hours…we even ate our lunch on the go.  Needless to say, we were tired once we got here.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Frances and Lovell…along with the other Louisville people there…and we’re looking forward to finding other reasons to get together throughout this year.  The Richardson’s are such special friends!

We went into Sarasota for church yesterday and we were very warmly greeted by many of their members.   George has again agreed to help teach the adult Bible class for this month and many were quite excited about that.  He taught a six week series last year and the people said it was their best classes ever.  He is a gifted teacher and is once again using his gift!

We met up with our Kansas friends at church yesterday and enjoyed eating lunch with them.  They have bought a condo in Venice and invited us over to watch the Super Bowl.  It was fun and we all felt it was one of the best Super Bowl’s ever played and I was happy the Steelers won.  They have a very nice condo and they’re still  in the process of getting it furnished, etc.  Jean is talented in this area so it’s coming together great!

I walked outside this morning in a light drizzle of rain while George ran on the treadmill at the exercise room…too boring for me.  I love walking outside and seeing nature when possible.

School is still closed for our Louisville kids since many schools are still without power.  We saw several utility truck headed that way on our way down here so maybe the entire state will have power before this week is over.  Of course, they could have been headed for Arkansas since they too had the heavy ice.  I haven’t heard about the Wilmore kids if they were able to start back up today.  They are all hoping to get back to class so they won’t have to make up these days in May/June when it’s hot or lose their spring break.  This is the worse natural disaster KY has ever recorded and thankfully we missed it.

Thankfully my Mother has once again endured a nerve blockage and is free of pain for now.  Now to see if she can improve her ablility to walk????  We’re praying for you Mom and hoping you’re doing what you’re suppose to…stay out of the kitchen and rest!

Guess that’s it for now.  We’re going to Wal-Mart or Public to get some groceries and I need to get myself presentable before we head out.  Love to all.

Blessings……
