We learned this morning that Byron’s aunt passed away last week and was buried on Sunday, 2/8.  In addition to this, his 98 year old grandmother, mother to the aunt, fell and broke her leg this same afternoon. Melissa said they had just gotten home from the funeral when she fell and had to be taken to Lexington to the UK hospital for treatment. They may have to do surgery but they are trying to avoid that because of her age. She’s not in pain for now, is currently in traction, but treatment hasn’t yet been determined.
I talked with my mom and dad yesterday, and mom sounded as though she had a cold. Dad said she had been coughing quite a bit the last few days and that’s not a good thing for her. Also, her heart murmur is worse and treatment for that is to be determined.
Ron just called and told us that their son-in-law, Doug, has finally been diagnosed with “Intertistal Pneumonia”…and not staph…and is being treated accordingly. He will remain on the respirator for a few more days before he’s allowed to breathe on his own, there may be some lung damage but the extent, if any, isn’t known yet, but the prognosis is good for recovery. This is good to have finally gotten an accurate diagnosis along with a treatment plan.Â
Finally, a Texas friend, Bonnie, has been battling gall bladder cancer and it has now spread into her liver and lymph system. She’s a special lady and needs all prayers possible.
I truly believe in the power of prayer and I’m asking each of you to please hold up these different people in prayer and ask for complete healing for each one. Thank you.
Blessings………
