Only nine more days….

Here it is Thursday night and we have just a little over a week left to enjoy warm days along with lots of sunshine.  According to the weather channel,  it’s cold and snowy at home and I sure don’t look forward to going home to that.  Of course, it’s always good to get back home and see family and friends…but I’m going to miss the beach and the salty air.

We’re picking up Ron and Jean in St. Pete tomorrow and it will be good having them back in the area.  Their son-in-law, Doug, is doing better…finally all tubes are out, he’s able to sit up in bed, and is suppose to go to a “regular” room tomorrow.  I don’t know how much longer he’ll be hospitalized, but we’re so thankful he’s finally doing better.  It was rather iffy there for a while.  This is truly an answered prayer!

I talked to my sister, Linda, today and the remodel job is in full swing.  She said they are suppose to be done in two months and let’s hope that’s true.  Jim, Jr. thinks it could be up to six months…from past experiences, I guess…and that was not what she wanted to hear.  It will be nice when it’s completed but the mess can get a little tiring.  They have really changed their house in the many years they’ve had it with all the additions and rearranging of rooms.  It’s now a more beautiful home with lots of room!  I look forward to seeing the new changes.

Madi is finally feeling better and I think will be back in school tomorrow…not sure about Tyler but here’s hoping he’s better, too.  Ryan and Kyle are going to Winterfest in Gatlinburg, TN this weekend with the church’s youth group and they’ll have a great time.  George and I attended this event several times with the kids when we attended OCC.  This is a very large youth  rally with many great speakers, classes, fantastic singing, and will be enjoyed by all.

Vanessa has been under the weather lately and we’re praying for her to get to feeling better soon.  Lacey is busy with school but seems to be enjoying it and will make a great EMT / firefighter.  As for other family members…I believe they are all doing well.  No news is good news, right?

Nothing of interest to write about so guess I’ll get back to my book.  Enjoy the weekend and I’ll be back soon.

Blessings……..
