End is in sight…

I find it hard to believe that we only have four more days here in Florida.  Going home to the cold is not my idea of greatness.  Oh well, spring is coming and I’ll just enjoy each day I have remaining and then remember all the warmth of Florida once we get home.  I am thankful for our time here.

George did a great job teaching the Bible class the last three weeks and the congregation is so appreciative of his efforts.  George is a good teacher and a definite change of pace.  The people at Central are so kind to us and we have made friends with several of them.  It’s something we look forward to renewing every year.

Daniel, the kids, and our neighbor, Mark, cleaned up all the limbs that were all over our backyard from the ice storm / wind storm and we are very thankful for that.  We are ever so grateful that none of the limbs landed on the house or the carriage house.  Daniel said they took four truck loads to the dump Wilmore provided for all the limbs, etc.  We saw some pictures and it was a mess.  Thanks Dan, Jerod, Meredith, Blake, Grayson, and Mark…we owe you a good dinner!  God has blessed us with a great family and good friends.

George and Ron have gone fishing this morning and let’s hope they FINALLY catch something.  No one is getting anything this year since the weather is somewhat cooler and definitely more windy than normal.  Oh well, George just catches and releases anyway but it is fun to try.  We will all go to dinner somewhere later today and that will be fun.  We spent the day with Ron and Jean on Sunday…church, going to St. Armands to look at what the “beautiful” people buy, then back to their condo to play cards.  We left our condo at 8:20 a.m. and didn’t get back here until after 10 p.m.  They are great friends.

I am thrilled to tell you that Ron and Jean’s son-in-law, Doug, was able to go home from the hospital yesterday.  He was in ICU for three weeks before he started getting well.  Once he started getting better he improved rapidly.  This is truly prayers being answered…he was given a 1 in 4 chance of survival.

Guess I’d better get to my walk or I’ll never get it done.  I’m always glad I’ve done it, but I never like getting started.  Guess I’m just lazy!

Blessings………
