We got back home yesterday afternoon (Monday) around 1:30 and it’s good to be home. I find it amazing that so much dust could accumulate in an unoccupied house in only 5 weeks. Oh well, I now have plenty to do for the next several days.
We came home to some really COLD weather…in the teens last night and only in the 30’s today. Our travel through Georgia was rather snowy between Macon and Atlanta, but we had no problem staying between the lines…some folks ended in the ditch…and I’m thankful we were safe all the way home. Oh well, I have fond memories of the warm beach and will dwell on that. The grocery shopping got done yesterday but the house and the laundry are my task for today. Also, Meredith will be reading a story she wrote at a local coffee shop in Nicholasville tonight and that should be fun. She’s really excited about the opportunity.Â
We were able to go and watch Blake play his last basketball game last night…they are undefeated and will play Saturday for the championship game…and then Tanya had us over for a delicious chicken dinner. It was good being with them again and catching up on all they’ve done the last few weeks.
Thursday I’m going to ladies class and then I’ll have to try and catch up to where they are on the study…again, it’ll keep me busy since I’m weeks behind. I’ve done as much of the workbook as I could but I have lots to do to get current, I’m afraid.
Saturday we will be in Louisville for George to run the first of the triple crown races. I MAY walk it since it’s only a 5K but I’m holding out until I know how cold it’s going to be. OK, I’m a whimp! Hopefully we’ll get to see the Gabehart men after the race. Melissa and Madi will be in Nashville with Tanya, Meredith, Allison, and her friend for the Carrie Underwood concert. Madi and Meredith have been counting the days and are so excited! Great memories are again being made. Life can be busy even for OLD folks!
Guess I’d better finish getting all our stuff unpacked, washed and put away. The dust will be a definite target since this is at the top of my list.
Enjoy your day.
Blessings…….
