My friend, Geri Bare, just called from the hospital and she is again in tremendous pain, and requesting we all pray for relief and healing. The doctors operated on both feet again today…still trying to repair and reconstruct them…and she’s faced with even more surgery before this is all over. It will be four + months before they even attempt to get her back to standing or walking. She’s thankful to be alive but this pain is really intense.
Today I got to attend a luncheon for my new spiritual sister, Terry, and that was very nice. She is a little bit overwhelmed by all the attention she’s gotten but is loving it! She’s never been a part of a church before, has never known the joy of a spiritual family, and was so appreciative to all that came to celebrate with her. She’s so eager to learn and such a joy to be around…she’s in our small group along with many of her family members and neighbors. It’s amazing watching the Lord working in all of this! Thank you Jesus for revealing yourself to us through these “searching” people.Â
Still looking for the birthday card. Should I find it, I will put it back for next year and consider myself ahead of the game! What’s the chances I’ll find it after a year when I can’t find it after just a couple of weeks? When you become a “senior” your mind, along with your whole body, does some really mean tricks on you. But it is exciting if you can keep up! Again, the mind is a terrible thing to waste!
Blessings…..
