This week has just flow by and I can’t think of anything important that’s taken place. Guess my age is showing!Â
It’s almost time for George to run the 10 mile race…Saturday morning in Louisville…and he says he’s ready. It will be a cool morning, which is good, and he’s hoping to finish within two hours +/-. I’m glad it’s him, along with the other 9000 +, and not me. That just seems too far. That will be a full day for us after the race…the Gabehart boys have ball games that morning which we’ll try to take in, I’m hoping to visit with Phyllis during the afternoon, and then attend a wedding that evening. It’ll be late when we get back home but we want to be here for Easter…lots going on that day. Hopefully, we’ll be able to work in a good Easter dinner after worship, egg hunt, plus ball practice and family time…another full day.
It won’t be many more days and we’ll be heading to Texas to celebrate both Mom and Dad’s 90th birthdays and their 70th wedding anniversary. We’ll be seeing people we haven’t seen for a while, eat some good Texas Bar-B-Q, play Texas 42, and, hopefully, enjoy some warmer weather. I am really tired of these cold days here in KY. We are getting back up into the 60’s but I’m ready for 70’s and 80’s with lots of sunshine. It’s suppose to rain again tonight and tomorrow so it will be rather dreary AGAIN.Â
The ladies class I’ve been attending has one week left and this study on Daniel has been very challenging for me. Prophecy is difficult and learning all the kings, etc. is near impossible. It has been a good study for the most part, but it hasn’t been my favorite of all the Beth Moore studies I’ve done.  She’s truly a gifted instructor and I’m always glad I took the time to attend the class even if it’s difficult.
My computer has been shipped off to Seattle to be repaired and I’m sharing George’s computer with him. My computer is only four years old but something went out and it was impossible to see anything on the screen. Fixing it is less expensive than buying a new one, but I really expected it to last longer than a few years. The guy at Best Buy said that’s about the life span of a lap top like mine and it would be best to buy a Mac next time. Let’s see…my computer cost about $1500 + less that a Mac so I’m sure I’ll buy one of those. Oh well, I’ll get it back in a couple of weeks…probably after we leave for Abilene.Â
Have a wonderful weekend and here’s hoping Easter will be meaningful in every way.
Blessings…….
