We had a good weekend with all the different activities. George did run in the 10 mile race, finished in exactly two hours, and was glad he made it OK. He really wasn’t sore this time since he was able to get in Melissa’s hot tub when we got to her house…we’re both thankful for that. We…George, Melissa, Madi, and myself…spent a little time Saturday afternoon visiting our friend Phyllis Trevathan and her condition sure makes me sad. In fact, both Melissa and I left her crying.  Saturday evening we went to a wedding that was very nice…especially the reception. The reception was a full dinner that included salad, both steak and a stuffed chicken breast, asparagus, potatoes au gratin, dinner rolls, and wedding cake for dessert. It was all delicious!!! There were several hundred there so that had to cost a ton of money! We left home that morning at 5:30 and got home that night at 11:30 so it was a full day.
Sunday we went to wordhip…both the sunrise and our regular service…and both were very good. Both the Crockett family and the Gabehart family came here for our usual ham Easter dinner and egg hunt. The day went well and I enjoyed having everyone here. We missed the boys but distance continues to be a problem there.
Today was catch up day with several loads of laundry, iron several items, and a quick trip to Wal-Mart. Life is good when you get several things done and still have time to crochet.
It won’t be long until we’ll be heading to Texas for the BIG celebration…70 years is quite an accomplishment.
No news so guess I’ll get back to my crochet addiction.  Enjoy your week.
Blessings……..
