What a fun day we had yesterday…we went to Wilmore for Grayson’s sixth birthday party in the park! Tanya did an outstanding job with the lunch, the kids had lots of fun…especially with the “colored” hair (see George’s blog for pictures)…and it was a near perfect day. Happy 6th Birthday to our special Grayson. You are a delight!
Then we got to watch Jerod play ball and that was another exciting event. Jerod has been in a hitting slump the last several games, but he over came it last night. He got up to bat twice…the first was a hit that advanced the runners but he’s out at first. The second hit was a slammer and he got a triple and advanced the winning runs across the plate. We were all so excited and happy for him…he even got the game ball! Way to go Jerod!Â
Now for today…I have to get me ready to fly out this afternoon for Texas…George is on his own. We will be flying into Dallas, have rented a car, and will drive to Abilene arriving around midnight. We look forward to spending a few days with Mom and Dad and seeing all the beauty of Abilene…somewhat limited beauty as you well know if you’ve been there. Abilene is a old west Texas town and not much there but I have a lot of fondness for it. I’ll try and post while there so you can envy the excitement we’re enjoying.
Better get busy or I’ll not get everything done needing to be done.
