Flowers are planted…need more!

We have actually had a day without rain and with some real sunshine…our first in quite a while.  I got the flowers planted today I bought last week along with three tomato plants and one additional planter.  I thought I had bought plenty of flowers but I’m going to have to go get some more to finish up the back flower bed.  Our yard looks so pretty right now with the azalea’s, mountain laurels, pansies, lilac tree at the end of it’s bloom, the peonies about to bloom, two hanging Boston ferns, several hostas, the bright pink  impatients, and the lush green grass.  Once the summer gets here this will have a different look because of the heat but for now it’s beautiful!

Our trip into Louisville yesterday was a good thing.  Carolyn and Darrell seemed so appreciative we came for her mother’s funeral.  We have been friends for years and we just could not not go be with them.

We’ll be going to see Scott and Alison next week and we’re really looking forward to that.  We will also be attending my high school’s 49th reunion on Saturday which ought to be interesting.  I haven’t seen any of my classmates since I graduated so it will be a challenge to see if we even know one another.  Scott and George have a project they want to complete while we’re there…build Scott a work bench in his garage…so that will take most of the day on Thursday.  Not sure what we’ll do on Friday but we do hope to get to a ball game while there…weather permitting.  Sunday we’ll come back home after church and lunch, so it will be another quick trip.

We’re planning on going to see Clark, Vanessa, and Lacey the end of May so this month will be a busy one.  We haven’t seen them in a year and that’s way too long.

Guess I’d better get started on dinner so I’ll say good-bye for now.  Don’t forget to watch “American Idol” tonight…it’s down to the final four and they are all very talented.

Blessings…..
