Going to Atoka tomorrow….

Another beautiful day in Wilmore but rain is once again headed this way starting tomorrow (Wednesday).  Spring is such a great season with all the beautiful flowering trees, bushes, flowers, and lush green grass.  The many horse farms around here are absolutely  breath taking…babies in every pasture!  God did good when he made central Kentucky.

We’re looking forward to being with Scott and Alison tomorrow night..sorry we’re missing those in Nashville.  We will see Lorin at the reunion so it’s not all a loss there.  Time and commitments keeps us on the move!  More on this trip next week.

We had an early birthday dinner for George last night…corn beef  & cabbage,  fresh corn on the cob, fresh asparagus, carrots, potatoes, spinach salad, and hot rolls.  For dessert I made a dessert with brownies (left overs from Sunday night…sorry George) that was topped with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and drizzled with chocolate syrup.  Looked good and tasted good!  The Crockett’s joined us so it was a fun evening.

Not much happening today.  I did get a hair cut and believe me she cut it.  My hair hasn’t been this short in years!  It’s OK but nothing to really brag about.  It grows fast and that’s a good thing.  It will be nice for these warmer days so I’m not really upset about it being this short…I was just surprised!  She tries hard but she’s not my stylist I had back in Louisville.  I think of this girl as someone that can cut hair and not as a stylist.  She’s sweet and I can’t seem to hurt her feelings so I continue to go back every 4-6 weeks…she’s local so that’s a plus!  I’ve definitely had worse hair cuts, so all is OK for now.

I’m reading a book right now titled “One Tuesday Morning” by Karen Kingsbury and it’s a good one.  I’ve read a lot of her books since she’s a Christian author…you don’t have to worry about a lot of ugly language or trashy content within her stories.  This book is about several different families before and after 9-11.  Can’t tell you how it ends ’cause I’m not there yet!  My other two Christian authors I enjoy reading is Liz-Curtis Higgs and Francine Rivers…good, good stuff!

Pray for our safety while we travel and I’ll post if I can while George and Scott are building the work bench…I feel sure Alison will have to work since she missed several days the last few weeks with kidney stone problems.  That’s all been fixed and she’s back to being her sweet self once more.

Love to all reading my blog.

Blessings……..
