Heading to Burlington in the morning…

It’s almost time to head towards Clark, Vanessa, and Lacey’s and we’re looking forward to being with them.  It’s been almost a year since we’ve seen them.  We’ll be picking up Sean, their oldest son, in Louisville by 9 a.m. and it will still be another 7 – 7  1/2 hours to ride from there…a long way from Wilmore!

We had a good time with our company for our cookout on Memorial day and everyone seemed to have enjoyed our backyard.  They enjoyed the trampoline, corn hole game, and kick ball.  I’m sure all the kids, along with the adult men, slept well Monday night from all they played!  The hamburgers/hot dogs were tasty along with the side dishes so hopefully no one went home hungry.  Another great day in Wilmore!  We’re really enjoying the “laid-back” atmosphere of this small town.

Congratulations are in order for Jerod…he’s now a graduate of elementary school and will be entering middle school in the fall.  He’s quite the guy and is a very talented young man in both academics and sports.  Ryan will graduate this Friday from middle school and will enter high school this fall.  He too is a talented young man in both academics and sports.  He also loves being in ACT I, a drama team from church, and continues learning new magic tricks to keep us all entertained.  It’s hard to see them growing up so fast but I am thankful they are able to do so.  All the kids are thankful for the end of school and looking forward to being “BORED” for the better part of the summer.  Each one is precious and a true joy to me!  Thank you, God, for the joys of being a grandmother.

Kyle went back to school today…his third day since his surgery…and I still find it amazing with the “drive thru” method of medicine today.  Don’t over due, Kyle!  You surely could have milked this for a couple more days!  Regardless, I’m glad you did so well and that you are such a strong and healthy guy!

Guess I need to find something to do to get myself ready for our trip.  Pray for our safety while we travel and I’ll be back when I have the time, or something I feel is of interest, to talk about.

Blessings…….
