We left home this morning to go to Louisville to watch Ryan and Tyler play baseball…Kyle played yesterday so we still haven’t gotten to see him play this year. Ryan got a good hit on his third time at bat…the first two he flied out…and he made it around the bases to finally score. He was playing right field today and seems to be enjoying the season. Tyler played catcher on his team and is doing a good job there. I can’t remember if he got a hit but I do know he walked a couple of times today and scored a couple of runs for his team. Both Kyle and Tyler are on the All Star teams for their age bracket so there’s hope we’ll eventually get to see Kyle play…he’s having a really good season this year.
We left for home after the boys played…Melissa was working and the rest were busy getting stuff around for camp…and we got back in time to watch the last inning of Grayson’s game. He’s been in a hitting slump lately but he hit a good ball this time up and made a double. Thank goodness it was a beautiful day today since we were outside most of the day. Jerod and Blake both had a good game and both hit home runs again plus a double or two. All the boys are doing well and love the sport!
Madi and Tyler are going to Spring Mill Bible Camp in Mitchell, IN this next week and they are so excited. This is the first time for both of them. This is the same camp we’ll be going to in July as cooks…Ryan and Kyle will be there the week we’re there. I pray they will have a good week, make lots of new friends, and only good things will happen all week.
Tonight was the first “concert in the park” here in Wilmore…a weekly event through August and it’s FREE! I walked over to it, since George was out on his bike. We met up and stayed for about 1/2 of it before we headed back home. We had to make a quick run to Wal-Mart to get another coffee maker since our other one met an untimely death…George tried to see why it was taking so long for it to make coffee. When he got through it was toast! That’s not exactly true…it would make coffee but the top was funky and wouldn’t close completely. Anyway, we got a different one and all is well once more.
We’re going to Cumberland Falls tomorrow afternoon for a couple of nights in celebration of our 47th anniversary. I’ll have more to say about this trip once we get back home. I do look forward to it and going on a hike or two! We both enjoy that and it’s a beautiful part of our state. We’re looking forward to seeing a Moon Bow…moon light puts a rainbow on the water…which is suppose to be pretty. I’ve never seen one so I’m looking forward to seeing it.
No more news so I’ll close this “grandma” page for now. Enjoy your worship tomorrow and let Jesus shine through you.
Blessings…..
