Tuesday Morning….

I just finished my 4 + mile walk that seemed like a ten mile hike.  It’s only 74 degrees currently but with the high humidity…85%… it was a HOT walk and my clothes are soaked since I am “glowing” so profusely.  I’m still trying to convince myself that this is really good for an  OLD lady like myself.  I didn’t walk yesterday since I got busy cleaning all our wood floors..which is our entire house….and that’s a big job I hadn’t done in quite a long time.  They look good and I know they are cleaner…the only way to get them really clean is on the ole hands and knees but that was a little more than I wanted to do…so all is good on the home front!

We took our friend Andrew Verble out last night and that was enjoyable.  He’s the young man that was in a very serious auto accident three years ago and is still in physical rehab.  He’s 21 now and still has quite a ways to go in the healing process.  His mind appears to be fine, but he’s slow in processing things and very methodical in every aspect.  He’s a handsome man and continues to have ambitions of becoming a chief someday.  I continue to pray for complete healing and ask those reading this to do the same.  For someone they said would never make it, he’s doing pretty good…we just want completeness.

The regular baseball season is over and now the boys are all in tournament games.  Those games were to start yesterday but they were all rained out…we’re hoping to get them in this afternoon but rain is in the forecast again, so we’ll see.  They will have to be played because you have to have a “champion team” but they may end up with a single elimination rather than the double elimination that’s scheduled.

George has been busy in his little work shop again.  Yesterday he made shelving for two of my larger cabnets that are now pull-out shelves and I love them!  I’ve always wished for them in every kitchen I’ve ever had and now I have them…lucky me!  Thanks George!

Guess I’ve cooled off enough to get myself busy.  I have ironing to do and want to get it done before it gets any hotter.  We’re suppose to go to dinner with some friends tonight to celebrate his birthday and we’re looking forward to that.  We’re happy to celebrate someone elses birthday and thrilled  it’s not one of ours. Ours seem to roll around far too fast.

Have a good day…stay cool…remain in the peace and grace of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

Blessings……..
