Happy Birthday Buddy & Michael / Happy Belated Birthday Linda Lou

I messed up big time…Yes I missed Linda Lou’s birthday by two days and jumped the gun for Buddy and Michael by two days.  Like I mentioned in the next paragraph…the mind is a terrible thing to loose and I’m beginning to think I’m lost.  Regardless…Here’s hoping all the birthdays were, or will be,  good ones….

A sign of aging is forgetting to do something you have always done in the past.  I have thought many times that I must get a card mailed to Linda, Buddy, and even Michael.  Yet here it is and no cards have been bought or mailed but I do hope each one had a great birthday.

We are having heavy storm this afternoon and I think they are finally about over for now but more is on the way!  Now that’s just great!  We should be up for the yearly rain fall amount but once these rainy days are over we will go directly to a drought.  I saw some video of lightening striking one of the bank towers in Louisville and the Ohio river…glad I wasn’t at either place…which had to be frightening for the people in that area.

We are currently enjoying the end of the baseball season and the swim season is now in full swing.  The Crockett kids all did well in their different events yesterday afternoon and each one came home with multiple  ribbons.  The tournament for baseball is struggling to get the games in with all the rain we’ve been having in both Louisville and Wilmore.  All six boys have been ask to be on the different All Star teams, but Ryan turned his down so he could go to camp.  They have all had a good season this year and it’s been a pleasure to watch them play.

George and I continue to stay busy doing whatever happens during the day.  I’m currently reading a book titled Stolen Innocence by Elissa Wall and it’s a fascinating true story about the Fundamentalist Latter Day Saints.  The book is well worth the time reading it and it’s a shame these young girls are subject to having to marry when they are only 14 years old…some are older but this author was only fourteen.   Check it out at your local library.

Guess I’d better get back to my book.  Have a great rest-of-the-week.  Again, HAPPY BIRTHDAY LINDA, BUDDY, AND MICHAEL.

Blessings……….
