Almost alone again…

Our time with Kyle and Madi ended yesterday when Melissa and Byron picked them up so they could begin their family vacation…less their dog Pal as he is now our house guest for the next ten days.  We had a great time with them and hope they can come back again before long.  Kyle and Jerod play together really well and they were together constantly.  Meredith and Madi also spent a lot of time together but it was a little hard for Meredith to play as much as Madi wanted since she was nursing her damaged heel all week.  Regardless we all survived the week and, hopefully, made some good memories.  We’ll try and have Ryan and Tyler next, before school starts, but the days are really flying by and we’re running out of time.

Today, July has returned, and we will be having the normal hazy, hot, humid day.  It won’t prevent us from doing anything we’re wanting to do…whatever that is…but getting some housework done is definitely on the schedule.  I can tell we had six kids over here for the better part of the week and now it’s time to chase some of the dust and dirt out the door!  Should I not do it today, there’s always tomorrow.

I started knitting me a sweater this week and I’m enjoying that.  It’s been ages since I’ve knitted…I’ve crocheted a lot but that’s all…and I’m glad to be getting back into knitting.  It’s a BRIGHT PINK yarn, and I love bright colors,  so here’s hoping it will turn out OK.

Guess I’d better get up and start towards chasing the dust out of here even though I’d rather just sit and knit.  Have a wonderful weekend and I’m still waiting on word out of Abilene as to all the fun things happening there right now.

Blessings…..
