Going to Louisville today…

We’ll be leaving here around noon and head towards Louisville to take in a little of the YIA….Youth in Action is a youth rally at Okolona Church of Christ.  We’re wanting to hear Patrick Meade of Rochester, MI.  speak at 2:30 p.m., then go to a birthday celebration for Emily H. at Chili’s at 4 p.m., then go back to OCC for Act I…the OCC drama group that Ryan is a part of…at 6:30 p.m.  Ryan loves doing this and since it’s important to him, it’s definitely important to me!  We’ll do our best to get in a few minutes with the Gabehart’s…Melissa is working…so all in all it will be a full day.

It continues to be hot here and I’m so thankful we haven’t had this kind of weather for many weeks.  I keep reminding myself that July was perfect and we can survive a month of heat and humidity.  Of course, when it was bitter cold in March and April I complained about that so I guess I just like to grumble about the weather.  Isn’t that what all OLD people do?  We have had rain, when needed and even when not needed, and have only had to water the yard once and that’s amazing!  Of course, the mosquitoes are very plentiful this year because of the rain!  Is that another complaint?  Oh, well…God continues to bless us and for that I am thankful.

We’ll be going to Burlington on Tuesday and we’re looking forward to that.  Lacey wrote on her face book page yesterday that they had a bat in the house and I sure hope they got it out.  I’m hoping she wasnt’ serious but I feel sure she was.  That’s just what they needed…at least, the bat would eat the mosquitoes so that would be a good thing!  I’ll let you know later if this was a joke or a fact.

Got to get myself together for the day.  Remember to find the good in those around you, even when it’s difficult.  We’re all unique and God designed us to be HIS child and not some one’s idea of who we should, or should not, be.

Blessings……
