Here it is Friday morning, the guys are once again fishing, Lacey is working, and Vanessa and I are just lazing around the house. We have had a good time and it’s been good being with Clark, Vanessa and Lacey. We got here Tuesday evening and had a beautiful travel day once we got out of KY…it was raining but the sun came out after a couple of hours. Wednesday the guys went fishing and had quite an experience. Clark’s boat and motor are a “hand-me-down” from a friend of his and the motor is less than dependable…being 35 yrs. old may play into the equation. They were out on the water when a STORM came up and, of course, the motor would not work. They were finally able to get the boat back to the dock and loaded on the trailer before the winds hit…they got wet but they were safe! Thank goodness or they could have been in some real trouble. Then that evening they went over to Clark’s boss’s house and fished in one of the ponds there. They caught some really nice bass and George got a 10+ pound catfish that they have pictures of. It was a fun evening once again.
Yesterday we did some local sight seeing…a new museum along with several shops downtown. Burlington is a really OLD town but it’s quite quaint. We ate lunch at a sandwich shop and then dinner at a good Italian restaurant. Lacey had school all day but was able to join us for dinner. I dread getting on the scales once we get back home. We also visited the farmers market and I got some squash and corn to take home. All the vegetable we really nice and I would have loved to take a lot more home, but I don’t have the freezer space. Oh well, we have good vegetables in KY too!
I’m sure the guys will be fishing most of the day and let’s hope the motor will work all day this time. George and Clark worked on it and think they have it fixed! One can only hope with a motor that old. At least some more memories are in the making. Vanessa and I MAY take in a movie this afternoon but that hasn’t been decided just yet.
No more news.  I’ll write more once we get back home. Pray for our safety once again, please.
Blessings………
