Opps…

I never took the time to get on here yesterday, Friday, to let everyone know that it was Meredith’s special day.  She turned 11 years old yesterday and the celebration went on for the better part of the day.  Tanya and I met her for lunch at her school and the lady in charge of the cafeteria had EVERYONE sing Happy Birthday to her…she was thrilled!   Tanya made cup cakes for her class so the celebration continued on even after lunch.  After school she had three of her friends over for dinner, a movie, and a sleep-over…I’m almost certain there was not a lot of sleep taking place.  I got to enjoy the dinner and the movie with the girls and that was fun…lots of energy there!!!  Her birthday cake was Chocolate Eclair Pie…YUMMY…and was enjoyed by everyone once we got back from the movies.  Meredith, I pray you had a really fun birthday and will enjoy every day of being eleven.  I love you!!!!

Grayson continues to improve from having his tonsils out but he’s definitely not 100% just yet.  He’s been a real trooper and is taking it all in stride.  Hang in there Grayson, you’ll be back to playing ball really soon.  I love you, too!!!

Monday we’re having ALL our neighbors over for a cook-out.  We’ve lived here almost two years…will be two years October 1…and there are some we have never met.  I decided it was time, so I printed up an invitation, took one to each neighbor, and now I’m shocked at how many are coming.  So far I have about 25 with several yet to respond.  Should be a fun time and I’m praying the rain will not show up until it’s all over.  I’ll post later how it turns out!

George and Melissa had a great time celebrating her belated birthday at the Biltmore mansion in Ashville, NC.  It’s a beautiful place and many memories were made for both of them.  There is some benefit for our kids when they turn 40…a special time just with their dad.  All the boys had a fishing experience.  Hopefully, each one has enjoyed their time and we only have Tanya left to honor.

Guess I’d better get myself in gear and chase some of the dust bunnies out of here, head to Sam’s, and knit on my sweater…another full day in Wilmore.  We continue to have wonderful weather, good health, and enjoying our little town.

Blessings……….
