Today we will celebrate Tanya’s birthday and I wish her a fantastic year. It’s hard to think of your baby girl being 37 years old but it’s true! Happy Birthday Tanya!!!
Wednesday night George had the honor of baptizing Tyler into Christ…Melissa’s youngest son…, and that was certainly a thrill. He’s always said he wants to grow up to be a Christian rock star and there’s no doubt he’ll be able to fulfill his dreams. He’s teaching himself how to play the piano and the guitar and he’s getting quite good…he’s gifted in that he can play by ear and he got that gift from God and his Papa Gabehart. I love you, Tyler, and I’m so proud of you in wanting to give your life to God.
Mother has had quite a week so far but is some better for now. She went to see her back doctor on Wednesday but never got to see him since she had some sort of “spell” while waiting. The doctor had her rushed off to the hospital by ambulance when she requested a place to lay down. She’s on quite a bit of medicine and the doctors have recently changed some of them and they “THINK” that’s the problem. She came home the same day, but she really hasn’t felt good all week. I guess we wore her out last week while we were there. We’re praying for her and hopefully she’ll feel better very soon. I ask all reading this blog to please pray for her, also.
It’s a cool, rainy day and an excellent day to do nothing more productive than read or crochet. Of course, I do have a few things to do but I will work in the reading and/or crocheting at some point I’m sure.
The Gabehart’s are on their way to Gatlinburg, in the great Smoky Mountains, while the kids are on a small fall break…the break is really so the teachers can attend the BIG St. James Art Fair in downtown Louisville…one of the best anywhere. The kids don’t go back to school until next Wednesday. Have fun guys and I hope you’ll get to see a bear…from a distance, of course…along with some beautiful fall colors and lots and lots of people.
Guess I’d better get my day started. Again…HAPPY BIRTHDAY TANYA…HAVE A GREAT TIME IN THE SMOKIES GABEHART’S…and pray for my Mother, please.
Blessings……..
