Happy Belated Birthday, Scott…

Since we were traveling on your birthday and I got to tell you Happy Birthday in person, I failed to let the world know it was your special day last Saturday…October 10th.  We are enjoying getting to be with you, Allison, Carter, Lori, and all the Crockett’s during this week and we look forward to having you enjoy many more special years.  This year will be one you’ll never forget and you’ll experience things you never dreamed possible…twin boys!  Keep preparing for sleepless nights and patience far greater than you ever imagined.  Love you Scott and I’m so blessed to have you as a son.

Everyone went to the beach this morning but since I got so much sun yesterday…in fact the ankles are swelling because of the sun burn…I decided to stay at the house and fish, read, or blog.    I’ve caught several fish this morning and have no clue what they were but they were different from each other and not very big.  I’ve also gotten several crabs but I just shake my line until they fall off and, as for the fish, I hold on the string until they get tired of flopping around, then I lay them on the deck railing, hold them down with a rag, and then work the hook out.  They won’t want to eat again for awhile since I’m sure they will all have very sore mouth’s.   At least they were all able to swim off and not die in front of me.

It’s really hot and muggy today and we’re told there’s a chance of rain this afternoon…but they said that yesterday and we never got a drop.  I truly love the beach, the sounds, and the smells…except for the dead fish…but still don’t want to live here full time.  The beach is just a wonderful place to visit and see things we don’t have back in Kentucky.  God did good when he made the beach!!!

Guess I’ll get back to the fishing.  Love to all and may God grant you all a peaceful, healthy week.

Blessings…..
