GREETINGS FROM the WARM AND SUNNY STATE OF FLORIDA!!!
We’re having a great visit with our friends and are teaching them how to play Texas 42…at their request. They had read that we played that with the folks and had never heard of it. They have both caught on fast and, as of this minute, Ron and I are ahead…but that’s subject to change with any game.
Ron and George got up early this morning and went down to the jetty to do some fishing. They said they caught a bunch and had a great time…they’re going back in the morning to see if it was just luck or they’re really good fishermen. Jean and I just hung around the condo and got our Bible study done along with the opportunity to solved all the world problems…which is just exactly what we both wanted to do.
We came over to Englewood beach this afternoon and had a late lunch/early dinner at the Lock ‘N Key…which happens to be one of my favorite restaurants down here…and it was delicious. They said they could fix most anything on the menu in a gluten free way so I had a great salad with grilled shrimp…delicious! The others all had some sort of fish basket and they all enjoyed theirs too. Those gluten item sure look good but I’m adjusting quite well to eating “healthy”. At least, there’s no stomach pain or other side effects showing up this week…and that’s a very good thing!
I think we’ll be going to the beach tomorrow and catch a few more rays and I’m looking forward to that. It’s really beautiful down here right now. It had been really HOT but now it’s only in the low 80’s with a light wind. Hope it’ll stay this way until we get out of town this weekend.
Ron and Jean don’t have internet connect at the condo this time since they too will be going home this weekend. Therefore, I may not be getting out any more blog postings before we head back to KY…I’m currently at the library…but you can always call us should you need anything. George’s phone gave up the ghost yesterday, for no apparent reason, and AT&T is shipping another one to him and he’ll have it by Thursday. He’s lost without his phone so call on my phone if you’d like and I’ll let lhim use it…aren’t I the sweet one?
Have a great week and we think we have found a place to rent for January right here in Venice and that’s exciting. We’ll be in the same complex as Ron and Jean! God continues to watch over us and bless us far more than we ever imagined. May you, too, feel God’s love for you each day.
Blessings……….
