This week is literally flying by and I can’t figure out why. The first couple of days it was cool, rainy, and dreary but we have been blessed with a terrific day today…bright sunshine and going to make it all the way to 70’s, if it hurries.
I went to ladies Bible class this morning for the first time in three weeks and I’m actually ahead in my homework by one week…they took off for the fall break week, our week to be in Gulf Shores, AL., and I continued on not realizing they were doing that. I was rather surprised they did not have class that week since more of the ladies in this group are without school age kids. Oh well, I’m ahead and that’s a lot better than being behind.
George is nearing completion of the cradle for the twins and it’s turning out really nice. He’s spent hours working on it and has enjoyed every minute of it from all indications. He’s becoming quite proficient with his wood working skills and a future project he wants to do is make us a new bed. I’m sure he’ll post pictures once the cradle is completed. Allison wanted it painted and selected her color, so that’s what’s happening today.
I saw the top Celiac doctor here in Lexington yesterday and from all the test so far, I do have the Celiac Disease…look it up on the Internet if you want to know more about it. I was really surprised to learn that five years ago 1 in 10,000 had the gluten intolerance…it’s currently 1 in 100 and generally in Caucasians. Do you think we might be over doing the consumption of wheat? It’s amazing all the things they put wheat in…read the labels and you’ll see what I mean. I pray I haven’t passed this on to my children but I’m sure I did. The trouble is, it can exist but never present itself until something else goes wrong…cancer, arthritis, diabetes, anemia, etc. I’ve had both my gall bladder removed and a hysterectomy. It’s very possible that neither were the culprit of my issues but Celiac was. Crazy, crazy disease.
Guess I need to do something productive today…such as laundry or remove dead flowers from the back yard. Have a great trick or treat this Saturday…suppose to rain here…and don’t let all those ghost and goblins get the best of you. Chocolate will usually work in keeping them happy! It would work for me and I can eat chocolate so, bring it on!!!!!
Blessings……..
