Another week…

Here it is Monday and our week is shaping up to be a busy one.  We had a great weekend with beautiful weather and the joy of raking leaves…TWICE.  We’ll get to do it all over again in a couple of days since there are still lots of leaves on these big trees around here.  Oh well, that goes with getting to enjoy the beautiful fall colors.

George and I plan to start painting our guest bedroom this week and that will be a big task…along with George hanging a new ceiling fan.  The ceilings are high and the room has lots of stuff that will have to be moved.  It will be nice once it’s finished so I’ll just concentrate on the end results.

We had one of our small groups here last night and that was a good evening.  Not only did we enjoy our study of the prodigal son/elder brother, we got to celebrate our neighbor’s birthday…Weston turned two…and then we went out and sat around our fire pit in the backyard and roasted marshmallows.  Everyone seemed to have enjoyed the evening and it was again a near perfect evening to be out.

Last Friday we made a quick trip to Louisville…I had my yearly doctor’s appointment that was  almost 7 months late in getting done…and got a small portion of my Mimi fix.  The Gabehart kids didn’t have school so we were able to spend a little time with them.  Madi was sick and running a high fever but she’s better today and is expected to go back to school.  Tyler and Ryan are both getting quite good on their guitars and all three boys are in wrestling and trying to get over the soreness of getting back in shape.  We’re hoping to get to see each of them wrestle at some point but not sure how we’ll work that all out.  Melissa is still working hard and selling those houses and condos.  Byron is doing well and will go deer hunting again this weekend…he ‘s gotten one doe already…and he’s hoping it will be a big buck this time.

George is already at work in the bedroom so guess I’d better get up and start “getting in his way”…I call it helping my way…and see how the day will progress.  Guess I should say, PRAY FOR US!  May you all have a great week and do some acts of kindness each day…it will make everyone’s week better.

Blessings……..
