Today was an absolutely gorgeous day here in KY. The day was full of sunshine, warm temperatures…70-ish…and a very slight breeze. I got lots accomplished inside the house today…was able to open some of the windows and aired out the house…and it was more like spring cleaning than just a regular cleaning. I changed all the bedding on both beds, vacuumed the house, mopped the kitchen, cleaned and mopped the bathroom, did numerous loads of clothes, and swept off the deck and part of the driveway (only around the back gate). Also, filled several BeautiControl orders and took them to the post office to be mailed. I did all this after George and I walked about three miles. OK…I’m old so I’m tired!
Melissa and her four children came to Wilmore on Saturday and left Sunday evening and we all enjoyed having them. Byron was once again looking for Bambi’s daddy and came home empty handed, again. I was very thankful for the beautiful weather all week-end so the kids could be outside since our house is rather small and eight active kids need a lot of room. We also had Andrew Verble…the young man that was seriously injured in a car accident almost three years ago…spend the day with us on Sunday. His parents were not able to come to Lexington to get him and ask if we would take him to church. He’s doing well, but still has a lot of work ahead of him before he’ll really be able to live independently. He’s most appreciative of anything you do for him and you can’t help but love him. We need to keep praying for complete healing and that he will regain the use of his right arm. He’s 21 and would love to be a normal guy going to school and enjoying life. Pray, pray, pray!
I’m headed out to the hot tub to relax my aching bones…no longer use to working a full day. George and I will be going to Louisville on Wednesday to be with Tyler while he has his tonsils removed. We’ll be back home either Friday night or Saturday. Melissa has some appointments to show some houses on Thursday and two closings on Friday and we can help her by being available to do the car pool and sit with Tyler. I’m sure praying he’ll do really well and recover very quickly.
Have a great week and remember…acts of kindness and words of encouragement are always a good thing!
Blessings…..
