We got up this morning to a good dusting of snow and as far as I’m concerned, that’s enough snow for this winter…Florida bound in just 20 days!!! Yippee!!!!!!!!! I know the kids love snow but I just plain don’t like COLD and snow comes with cold. Guess I’m showing my age…again.
We went to see the Nutcracker last night since Meredith was one of the soldiers that danced in it. It was a very enjoyable evening. Again, there’s a lot of talent in this area…even though I know nothing about dance of any style. Last night was the first performance and they have two more today. Congratulations Meredith on a good performance.
Yesterday Grayson woke up sick and was throwing up along with running a fever and it came on really quick. Tanya took him to the doctor and he has the flu which is not good…especially at this time of year should it go through their family. Please pray he’ll recover quickly and that no one else gets it. Not sure what type of flu, but the flu is the flu and you feel yucky when you have it. Get well soon, Grayson.
Chase, Carter’s oldest son, will be graduating from Cambellsville University on December 11 and he’s happy about that. He’s going into law enforcement and hopes to be a police officer for either Nashville or Brentwood, Tn.  Congratulations, Chase! We’re very proud of you and this accomplishment of graduating from college.
Jerod, Tanya’s oldest, is in a quick recall tournament today and we’re planning on attending that event. It’s amazing what the kids know and can recall so quickly. I have trouble getting names right on a good day…can usually do it though if given enough time, like a day or two sometimes.
We have one of our Life Groups meeting here tomorrow night and I really should do something towards getting ready to have them here. This is a good group of people and nearly everyone is associated with either the Asbury College or Seminary in some fashion. If fact, almost this entire town is associated with the Asbury colleges in some way…we’re the odd balls and just decided to move here. We still like our “Mayberry” town and we’re glad to call this place home.
Today is Wilmore’s Christmas on main street and it literally involves the entire town. A lot of activities all day and then tonight all the stores downtown will be serving cookies and cider before the singing of Christmas carols at the Methodist church downtown. It’s a fun time and a real time of community bonding.
Time for me to get up and get to Jerod’s tournament. Have a wonderful weekend…stay warm…and remember Santa is watching!
Blessings……….
