We have six days until we’ll be packed and ready to head to some sunshine. Currently here in Wilmore it’s COLD, we’ve had a light dusting of snow, and to say the day is gloomy, is being very kind. I guess all of these factors are what make winter so…shall I say, depressing. Oh well, this will make spring all the more beautiful.
We were in Louisville yesterday afternoon/evening for a few hours. We were able to be with Byron, Madi, and Kyle for just a few minutes…Ryan was at dinner with his girlfriend’s family while Melissa and Tyler were out among the many on the road…and they are all doing well and getting ready for the “big” man in the red suit.
We also went to our old…and that term applies to several aspects of that group…care group for the Christmas dinner/party. It was fun being with them and we all had a good time, good meal, and memories were made once more. We exchange white elephant gifts…some didn’t play this right this year and gave “better” gifts…and that’s always fun to see what you’ll end up with. Ours were so good, we left them for Bob and Carla to deal with.
George and I continue to do well and he’s busy most days in the carriage house making something for someone. He’s really enjoying all his woodworking projects and they have ALL turned out really good. He made the little boys across the street a toy box for Christmas and we’ll be taking that over to them later this morning. Tanya saw it and now she wants one for her entry hall for the kids to drop their shoes in when they come inside…the kids will be able to find their shoes, also. Of course, she won’t want hers painted in the primary colors but it would certainly make a nice piece of furniture for her home.
Time to check on the laundry…which seems to never end even for just two people. Have a great weekend and enjoy the spirit of the season.
Blessings…
