Almost Christmas…

I’ll start this with a question…Do you want to know the difference between a good restaurant and a GREAT restaurant?  Well…since we will be going into Louisville tomorrow to take a friend to the airport, I called my favorite restaurant to see what they might have that was gluten free on the menu…not much sorry to say.  Well, the guy that answered the phone took my number so he could call me back after he talked with the chief.  I told him what I was interested in and he said they would make up my “California Club Salad” away from any area that might expose it to gluten and have it ready for me when I arrived.  He also checked with the ones that made the house salad dressing and he assured me that it too would be poured up away from any area with gluten.  I thanked him and he said that that was why they were in business…to serve the ones eating there.  I love the BRISTOL BAR AND GRILL on Bardstown Road and am confident my meal will be as gluten free as possible.  Thanks to them for being so willing to cater to the different diets that so many people have to maintain to stay well and healthy.

Of course, while in Louisville we’ll be going to the Gabehart’s to deliver the kids presents, celebrate Christmas, and spend some fun time with them and the Crockett’s.  Ryan will be celebrating his birthday on Christmas eve so we’ll be enjoying some early birthday time, too.

We’re almost down to counting the hours until we leave this dreary weather.  It’s been rather cold so far…10 -15 degrees colder than normal…and the sun hasn’t shone it’s face in days.  Our time in Florida is always so relaxing…we walk daily and we spend hours reading either at the pool, the beach, or on the couch.  You’d think you’d do the same at home, but we don’t.  There are so many things that pop up each day that the reading never gets finished and the walking will be put off.

Guess I need to get busy for today.  LL&B have fun in Abilene and I know Mom and Dad are thrilled you are there.  Continue being good…Santa is coming!  Santa  already came for me and gave me a I-phone!  I’m still trying to figure it out but I know I’m going to love having it.  Thanks Santa!  You’re the greatest.

Blessings………
