Merry Christmas…

Today is Christmas and all the evidence at our house are packed away for yet another year.  We got up this morning and joined the Crockett’s for a Christmas breakfast that was delicious…scrambled eggs, sausage gravy, bacon, biscuits, and caramel rolls…everything was gluten free except for the caramel rolls.  Everyone was enjoying all the goodies that Santa brought and things were at their peak for the most part.  We went over there last night and watched them open their gifts from us and from each other and they all got LOTS of good stuff.  Tanya was the most surprised of all.  Daniel got her a new diamond ring…she lost her original one years ago…and He had put it inside of a Coach purse.  They are both beautiful and both are so special to her…me too for that matter.  I love Coach bags and the ones I have are all out of style, but they’ll be back someday and I’ll be back in style once more.  Of course, diamonds are always in style.

Santa bought me a new IPhone and I’m still learning just how to work all the features on it.  I know I’ll love it once I know what to do with all the programs on it.  George got tools and a new GPS…even though he got them a few weeks ago it was still from Santa…so we feel loved.  By the time you get our age, there’s not a lot we don’t have or want, so we know we are so very blessed.

We got good news out of Abilene today…dad was being released from the hospital…he thought he’d be there until tomorrow.  He seems to be doing well and once they get his sugar levels on track he should be OK.  It was a shock to all of us when they called and told us he had had a heart attack.  To my knowledge this was the first issues with his heart.  Both he and mother are doing well for the most part for 90 year old people. Thank you Lord!

We’ll be leaving home in the morning for Florida and we covet your prayers for our safety.  Melissa and her family left this morning for Naples, Florida for their Christmas vacation and I just heard they are almost to Chattanooga so they are doing well so far.  They will go about 12 hours today and then have another 6-7 tomorrow…long trip but so worth it when you have the beach and sunshine every day.

Clark called and said that Sean is still trying to get to Burlington, in spite of the terrible storms in Iowa, but Branden decided to just stay put in Louisville.  Lacey is having a rough day today with pain, etc. from having her wisdom teeth removed the other day.  That’s a painful ordeal and I pray she’ll be feeling much better by tomorrow…she’s a tough one and I know she’ll hang in there and be up and running by next week.

Scott and Allison are doing well and getting closer to parenthood each day…only two months to go!  I still can’t imagine them having twins, but it will sure be fun and exciting for them when the boys finally get here.

Carter and Lori are at home today and enjoying being able to just relax.  They are hoping Chase and Chance will get to Birmingham at some point during the holidays but they weren’t sure just when they’d be able to come.  Everyone is so busy with school, work, or just life!

Guess I’d better get myself cleaned up as we’re suppose to go back to Tanya’s for dinner…I’m still in my p.j’s and it’s almost 4 p.m.  I love P.J. days!

Merry Christmas to all and may this new year be your best one ever.  Love to all of you!!!

Blessings……..
