We took Madi and Tyler to see Shrek 3 today and it was a cute movie enjoyed by all. I also packed us a lunch plus drinks and popcorn…concessions are just to expensive. As I was taking their sandwich out of my bag, Madi leaned over and wihspered…”You’re suppose to wait until they turn the lights out!” She’s been taught that by someone other than her Mimi. I’m upfront with bringing in my snacks.
We ran over to see Vanessa and take them a meal for tonight and she looks good and seems to be progressing right along. We didn’t stay long since we had the kids, but she is doing OK. We stopped and got the kids some ice cream on the way home…so the day was complete. They are sweet children and growing up ever so fast.
It’s really hot today (Thursday)…in the 90’s. We could sure use some rain as everything is dying from lack of water but I know God will send us some at just the right time. We’re ready so hopefully he’ll send it soon.
Tomorrow is grocery shopping day and that’s always a bummer! This is one, if not THE one, of my least favorite things to do. The shopping isn’t so bad…it’s the putting away the stuff once you get it home. I won’t be buying a lot except fresh produce and dairy products…got lots of meat in the freezer.
Life is sweet and each day is a blessing so take full advantage of what we are given.
