Finally…

YEAH…We’re going to the beach today!!! It’s finally going to get into the mid 70’s and I’m thrilled.  It was a warm day yesterday, lower 70’s so not as warm as today is suppose to be, but still a beautiful day.  Yesterday afternoon Jean and I visited and soaked in some of the sun rays as we were sitting at the pool…Ron and George were trying…I repeat trying…to catch some fish.  They said they thought they might have gotten a bite or two but guess that’s about all.  This weather has affected the fishing along with everything else.  There’s another front coming in tonight so there’s rain predicted for the weekend but we’ll enjoy today.

We got word yesterday that a good friend of ours was diagnosed with stage 3 Pancreatic cancer that has also gone into her liver.  She’s never felt bad or sick so there was no indication that anything was going on.  Monday she began itching along with some other symptoms so she went to her doctor and after doing some testing this is what she was told.  This is such shocking news and I’m asking for prayers for Patty from everyone.  She’s married to Frank and has one son, Ryan, and they are all devastated.  She said she doesn’t fear death because of her faith and that’s such a comfort.  She will begin treatment soon and we’re praying for another miracle.

The news coming out of Haiti is still devastating and so many are hurting in so many ways.  The people living there lost what little they had, they can’t find loved one, or have found loved ones that didn’t survive, and are in shock as to what to do next.  It’s so overwhelming and it’s so hard to know how to help and where to start…like when Katrina hit New Orleans.  So much pain and suffering!

Guess I need to go and walk…good time to pray and listen to some good sermons from some very Godly people…and again please pray for Patty.  She’s God’s daughter and needs our prayers.

Blessings………
